Make Your Voice HeardEvery so often an issue comes up that is not only of interest to the union but has a personal connection to each of us as well. If you have a personal story that helps to state your concerns, please consider writing to the superintendent, the board and cc’ing CETA. Often in bargaining when our union brings up a concern about something, the district response is, “We haven’t heard that from anyone.” Let’s not make that the case this year. Please think about sending in your thoughts to the district, the board cc CETA so that YOUR voice is heard loud and clear.
The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) has Guide to School Board Advocacy that offers suggests when letter writing, calling and also talks a little about board policies.
